Tasks and Responsibilities:
The Spaceopal (SPO) Local Security Monitoring (SECMON) Engineer is a member of the SPO Technical Team in the domain of the Security, supporting the Security Monitoring Manager in the activities of this domain.
The candidate participates in the management of Galileo’s SECMON processes. These processes include security monitoring and control activities performed by the SPO Operational Teams following processes defined at system level and tools provided by the operated infrastructures.
The activities are coordinated by the responsible of the SPO Security Team and include:
Support from a regulatory/programmatic point of view, verify and control the activities carried out by the local teams involved in the SECMON related activities
Interact with the local EUSPA representatives for the day-by-day activities, contribute to periodic or ad-hoc reports to EUSPA and to the relevant coordination activities
Contribute to the verification of the operational products and procedures developed by the SPO teams. It may include the participation to the system validation or simulation activities.
Contribute to the definition/refinement of analysis processes, to the definition of investigation methodologies and techniques for security events
Contribute to the verification of the supporting infrastructures during all the verification phases carried out by the operational teams, analysis of the offered capacities and definition of potential improvements
Contribute to the management of lesson learned processes
Participation in anomalies analysis, configuration changes and operational activities planning
