The Spaceopal GALSOIT (Galileo Service Operations Integrated Tooling) system engineer supports the engineering, design, integration, maintenance, and evolution of the Galileo Service Operations Integrated Tooling (GALSOIT) environment.
This role includes leading and administering infrastructure projects, automating operational processes, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and providing advanced technical support to company employees to resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related problems efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the GALSOIT architecture and its constituent systems.
- Ensure the availability, performance, resilience, and security of the GALSOIT environment in compliance with agreed SLAs.
- Proactive propose evolution or improvements both in the concept and in the system components
- Define when needed system-level requirements and translate operational needs into technical solutions.
- Ensure the integration and interoperability of software applications, middleware, databases, and IT infrastructure components.
- Perform system engineering activities, including architecture definition, interface management, verification, validation, and configuration management.
- Support the deployment, maintenance, and evolution of the integrated tooling environment.
- Monitor system performance, availability, reliability, and security, identifying opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement.
- Support troubleshooting, incident investigation, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
- Collaborate with software developers, infrastructure engineers, cybersecurity specialists, and operations teams to ensure coherent end-to-end solutions.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, architectural designs, interface specifications, operational procedures, and engineering reports.
- Contribute to technology roadmaps and the adoption of new tools and technologies supporting Galileo Service Operations.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives within a SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environment.
