ILS and CADM Engineer (m/f/d) | Munich, Germany

Tasks and Responsibilities:
The Spaceopal (SPO) ILS/CM Engineer is a member of the SPO Technical Team.

The role requires liaising effectively across all SPO teams and with other GSOp teams, promoting the related information transfer as for tasks below described.
 
The local ILS/CADM Engineer will take over various Configuration Management and Integrated Logistics Support tasks. 
The Configuration Management tasks are dealing with the regular configuration control, configuration status accounting and configuration audit/inspections based on GSOp standardized processes and tools.
The ILS tasks deal with the daily support of the operational infrastructure at the GCC-I, e.g. support local L1 maintenance team on ILS issues, follow-up logistics aspects and documentation needs. The ILS engineering tasks focus on the evolutions of the ground infrastructure; this includes for example participation to reviews, support ILS analysis tasks, evolvement and continuous improvement of already existing operation support processes and procedures.  
 
Main duties are:
  • Act as local ILS/CM Point of Contact for the GSOp ILS and CADM organization
  • Conduct and support Configuration Control Boards based on the GSOp CCB Terms of Reference / GSOp standardised processes and tools
  • Liaise with, coordinate and manage follow-up tasks with the originator of configuration change requests to qualify these for CCBs 
  • Document CCB dispositions in central tools, provide CCB minutes and update configuration data in central CM tool
  • Liaise with and support local Maintenance Teams with regard to the ILS/CM interface
  • Liaise and interface with local HE with regard to PHS&T tasks
  • Support configuration audits / inspections for verifying correctness/accuracy of maintained configuration status
  • Maintain and update CM / Asset status information in central tools
  • Provide ILS / CM inputs to inquiries and reports
  • Participate to GSOp internal Meetings, support GSOp ILS/CM reporting tasks with inputs gathered locally and via central tools
  • Participate to GSOp external ILS/CM meetings in order to coordinate with external parties ILS and Configuration Management aspects 
  • Contribute to ILS/CM engineering and analysis tasks in the frame of the continuous improvement process and event driven evolutions
  • Contribute to reviews of data packs received from infrastructure provider in the frame of new releases/evolutions
Required Qualification and Experience:
  • Hold a degree in Telecommunications/Electronics/Informatics/Aerospace Engineering with at least 2 years of work experience. Alternatively, 5+ years related work experience.
  • Have a good technical background/experience on the Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) and/or Configuration Management (CM) disciplines and tasks
  • Experience in the Galileo program will be a preferential factor.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal liaising and communication skills with strong attitude to team work
  • Hands-on mentality and systematic, self-organized, able to prioritize way of working
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, with knowledge of Italian and/or German also appreciated
  • Fluency in standard office automation tools (MS Office, Email, Internet, etc.)
Work location:
Spaceopal Headquarter (Munich, Germany)
It could be necessary to spend time periodically at the GCC-D (Oberpfaffenhofen, Munich, Germany) and/or at the GCC-I (Fucino, Italy).
